Makayla DeJong, Class of 2016, attends Pomona College where she plays for the women’s lacrosse team and is a team captain. In 2013 she was named to the All-SCIAC and IWLCA All-West Region first-teams, in 2014 she was named to the All-SCIAC second-team. She helped the Sagehens to their first two NCAA tournament appearances in 2014 and 2015. Off the field, she majors in Chemistry and minors in Spanish. Being on the Pomona-Pitzer women’s lacrosse team has been her absolute favorite part of college.
